The movie star said she has reached out to people for help and they have assisted her. According to her, her children have been spending all their income on her, neglecting their own needs.

She pleaded with Nigerians to come to her aid as the pain is severe.

“The pain is too severe. I did these tests, and I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Why did it happen to me? I am very easy-going. I have reached out to people, and they have helped me. My children have been spending all their income on me, neglecting their own needs. For them to put their own lives on hold to take care of me. But I thank God for blessing me with them. So I said, “Let me do what I wouldn’t do because I know some people will bully me, while others will help me.”
I want to be fine.
I want to be healed.
The pain is severe.
I don’t pray for my enemies to have cancer.
Please, have mercy on me.
Please, I have nobody”.

A few days ago, Destiny Etiko had made a heartfelt plea for assistance on behalf of ailing actress, Cynthia Nkachukwu Anijekwu, who is battling cancer. She shared a video of the actress where she opened up about her painful journey with the illness.

In the emotional clip, Cynthia revealed that she underwent surgery and chemo, but the cancer later came back, and she has been in and out of the hospital. She said her condition has worsened, requiring radiation and further surgery, which her family can no longer afford.

Following the cry out, Destiny revealed that Nigerians had contributed 13.1 million out of the N20 million required within hours. She expressed how overwhelmed and grateful she is, thanking them for the massive love.

To add to it, Yoruba actress, Temitope Osoba, in an interview on Oyinmomo TV, opened up on her battle with cancer, revealing that doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications she had to take. Temitope said hearing that broke her down as she noted how she was 38 and had to wait till her 40s before conceiving.

Her senior colleague, Foluke Daramola revealed that Tope had gone through breast surgery as she appreciated the public for their assistance and called for more.

While celebrating her 40th birthday, Osoba opened up about surviving cancer, revealing that it changed her. She said she carries the scars, but also carries the lessons. Temitope added that she is celebrating life in a way she never had before.
