Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has shared the details of the illness that nearly ended his life, revealing how he discovered he was battling a severe ulcer.

In an interview with Feel Right News TV, Ogogo explained that actress Remi Surutu played a crucial role in helping him recognize the signs of his condition.

NOP NIGERIA reports that he recalled struggling with weakness while on a movie set, which forced him to pause filming. Remi Surutu noticed his symptoms and suggested that he might be suffering from an ulcer.

The next day, Ogogo went to the hospital for a medical examination, where doctors confirmed the presence of an ulcer.

He described a harrowing seven-month period when he could not eat, as any attempt to do so resulted in vomiting blood.

Ogogo expressed gratitude for surviving the ordeal, crediting his recovery to divine intervention and vowing to always thank God for his life.

According to Ogogo, he said, “While I was on a movie set, I felt very weak, and I couldn’t continue with the film making so I decided to take a break. It was actress Remi Surutu that came to me and told me that I was having an ulcer due to the kind of symptoms I complained about. On the next day, I went to the hospital to conduct a medical check up, and it was discovered that I actually had an ulcer. I couldn’t eat for 7 months, and anytime I tried to eat, I would vomit the food with blood. It was God that healed me and got me out of the situation, and that’s why I will always thank God.”
