Fresh fears of another university shutdown may be looming across Nigeria as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has warned the Federal Government to brace for possible industrial action over the failure to fully implement the 2026 agreement reached with the union.
ASUU accused the government of neglecting key parts of the agreement, particularly the delay in setting up the Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC), which was meant to oversee smooth execution of the pact and prevent unnecessary bottlenecks.
