Police have provided new details explaining how the woman misled her husband shortly before her death.
The victim, Abena Menis, was married with children and lived in Kumasi with her husband. She told her spouse she was travelling to Accra for medical training, but instead went to meet a man she was secretly dating.
Findings suggest she travelled to a town close to Obuasi to see her lover. Her husband, Kwame Menis, said he fully trusted her explanation and never suspected she was lying.
Authorities say the man she was seeing became angry and jealous after realizing she planned to end their relationship. This reportedly led to a violent altercation in which he stabbed her fatally.
