In celebration of her birthday today, Sophia Momodu has revealed her real age.

While gracing the cover of Marie Claire Nigeria, she revealed that she is 39 as she spoke about motherhood, the armour of self-love and more.

Sophia revealed that when she was in her 20s, she was a hothead, as no one could tell her anything. According to her, it was her way of the highway, but the older she got, the wiser she felt.

“When I was in my 20s, I was a hothead. You couldn’t tell me anything. It was my way of the highway. The older I get, the wiser I feel”.

She revealed that she grew up with confidence, and despite her weight changes, she still feels gorgeous at all times.

“I grew up with confidence. Even when I put on a few pounds or lose a few pounds, I still feel gorgeous at all times”.

Speaking on motherhood, Momodu said it taught her to choose herself. According to her, when she first had her daughter, she started to see herself in her eyes, and she taught her to love herself even more.

“Motherhood taught me to choose myself. When I first had my daughter, I started to see myself in her eyes. She taught me to love myself even harder”.

Last month, Davido’s babymama responded to a troll who asked whether she had plans to start a family because of her love for clubbing. Sophia noted that trolls always play blind whenever she speaking at prestigious events, sitting Front Row at London Fashion Week, at her ShowRoom, at her book signing, or entertaining people on TV as a reality star.

Sophia had replied to a fan who threw shots at her and Chioma, praising her for not being limited to kitchen items. The fan called her a woman of substance, noting that she keeps expanding, unlike Chioma, who is stuck with kitchen items.

In a follow-up post, she claimed she had been travelling nonstop and hadn’t been active on social media, hence, saw the fan’s comment as a compliment. She urged all their fans to move on, noting that she had left the drama in 2025.

Since her sour relationship with music star, Davido, which threw her into the spotlight, Momodu has become one of the famous celebrity’s babymamas who gets attacked on social media.

Weeks back, Sophia had hit back at a troll who criticised her for showing off her Hermes bag. She noted that they never comment when she is signing brand deals, giving back to charity, or launching new businesses. She noted how when her lifestyle doesn’t match their weird projections for her, they come stinking up the whole place.

She had responded to a female fan who cautioned her against responding to her critics, pointing out how there is an obsession with telling black women or women in general to stay quiet.

The entrepreneur had traded words with a Snapchat user who advised her to get married and learn from Wizkid’s baby mamas, who keep a low profile. Sophia hoped she and her family would go blind and questioned how someone could watch her every movement when they didn’t like her.

Late last year, when Sophia was announced as one of the new casts of Real Housewives of Lagos reality show, it was met with mixed reactions. Reacting to the criticisms, the mother of one stated that it doesn’t matter if anyone thinks she doesn’t deserve it, as God gave it to her.

A fan had advised her not to allow social media users pressure her into faking life as he noted how they aren’t worth it. Replying to the user, Sophia questioned what would happen if she posted her recent doings, as she noted how people would say.
