


The All Progressive Congress (APC) Remo federal constituency in Ogun state has endorsed the candidacy of Hon. Funmi Efuape as its consensus candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.
Efuape, a former Sagamu local government chairman, commissioner for Women Affairs and Special duties and intergovernmental affairs respectively, was endorsed at the Remo federal constituency caucus meeting held in Ikenne, Monday
The senatorial chairman of the party, Prince Adedoyin Adeleke stated that the endorsement is a testament of the party’s resolve to ensure equity, fairness and rancor free electioneering in 2027.
“The three local government areas that made the federal constituency are all here to unanimously endorse our candidate. So, it’s not a one man show, it is a collective endorsement by all party faithful”, he said.
The Commissioner of Environmental, Ola Oresanya in his remarks noted that the candidate’s track records of tenacity, party loyalty and goal getting ability played a major role in the party members decision.
“Efuape has worked for the party, she has worked for other candidates, even when she was denied ticket, she always throw her strength to ensure victory for the party. This is our pay back time for her”, he added.
Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on public information, Dare Odufowokan stated that the constituency have shown that democracy can be devoid of rancor, and infightings among party members.
“We have shown here today that democracy can be seamless, that we can agree on a standpoint to achieve a purpose. Some of the aspirants are here and have all agreed with the decisions of the leaders of the party.
” So, we are moving into the 2027 general elections as a united front to win landslide all the available positions in Ogun state and Nigeria”, he stressed.
The endorsement was moved as a motion by Dr. Dapo Ojukoya from Ikenna Local Government Area (LGA), while it was seconded by Hon. Adeniyi Akinsanya Remo North LGA
